The three organizations are Walmart Inc, Apple, and Amazon company.
Walmart Inc.’s corporate mission is ” money-saving measures to enhance people’s standard of living.” This statement reflects the founding principal of the company, Sam Walton. Together with the motto of the retail business, this mission statement, ” Spend less Money. Improve yourself, “directly influences business decisions. According to the organization’s mission statement, one of Walmart’s marketing techniques is to use price as a differentiator to entice target customers. Various retail firm activities provide concrete examples of the importance of such a selling aspect. One of the 4Ps of Walmart Inc.’s marketing mix is low price ( Walmart,2022). Other elements of the company are impacted by the requirement to lower selling prices to remain competitive and advance the corporate mission. Walmart’s mission statement is effective because it is concise and precise, giving the organization a clear goal and focus. It also focuses on the consumer’s needs, which is essential for a firm.
Apple’s mission is to “deliver the finest individual computing appliances and help to entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, designers, educators, students, and consumers in across 140 countries thought the world.” This vision considers the ever-changing character of the business world, which in turn influences Apple Inc.’s access to various possibilities (Apple, 2022). It has a specific understanding of the dynamic nature of the consumer electronics industry and its competitive environment. In response to market concerns, Apple has centered most of its public discourse and press releases on this goal. Apple has a bold and comprehensive vision that extends to its principles, target demographic, and global market. Its futuristic design shows that the company is abreast of advances in the consumer electronics market (Apple, 2022).
Amazon’s mission is to “be the consumer’s greatest centered business on Earth.” The specified audience is the focus of this mission assertion, which seeks to deliver the finest e-commerce services available to win over and keep that audience (Amazon,2022). What this means for the company is still being determined since customer demands and expectations regarding online and technological services might lead to various results. For an online retailer, nothing is more important than focusing on the client’s needs, which is why Amazon has such a compelling mission statement. It is a big claim, too, that raises the bar for the quality of the company’s support to its clients.
The three mission statements have certain commonalities but take different approaches to achieve their goals. Each of the three missions emphasizes the importance of the consumer. The three companies will eventually become more profitable and successful if they put strong measures and a high value on meeting and achieving their consumers’ needs. The mission of Apple is to provide modern and innovative personal computer devices to teachers and students worldwide. On the other hand, Walmart distributes and provides a low-cost retailer for customers. Amazon’s goal is to become the corporation that cares about its customers the most. This customer-centric approach necessitates a range of adjustments to achieve and satisfy the needs of modern and today’s tech-savvy; this ensures always-connected consumers. All three vision statements have another characteristic: they are brief and easy to understand. They help workers comprehend the company’s direction and motivate them to do their part in bringing about the desired results.
On the contrary, the three mission statements use somewhat different methods. Walmart aims to maximize profits by focusing on low prices for its target market. Apple’s stated purpose reflects the ever-evolving nature of businesses and the opportunities they provide. Amazon’s stated purpose makes a strong guarantee, with lofty goals for the company’s dedication to its clientele.
When considering whether the mission statements align with the organization’s operations and brand, it is arguable that each of the three mission statements aligns with the activities and brand of the affiliated organization. The “to save people money so they may live better” goal statement is consistent with Walmart’s business model and corporate identity. Walmart’s motto, “Save money. Live better.” (About the company’s cheap pricing), further emphasizes the company’s commitment to delivering low costs. As a firm with a long history of promoting low pricing to deliver value to consumers, Walmart has a marketing mix and business methods built to promote this goal statement. Unlike its rivals, Walmart largely stands apart due to its dedication to this goal statement, which is reflected in the company’s brand. To “offer the paramount personal computing devices and support to engineers, scientists, designers, educators, students, businesspeople, and consumers across 140 countries across the globe” is a goal statement that fits well with Apple’s operations and brand. Apple has built a strong and resilient brand because of the company’s dedication to providing excellent customer service and cutting-edge product development. The company’s determination to its mission statement is shown in its dedication to distributing and providing personal computing devices and services to a wide-ranging of target consumers and audiences. The company’s dedication to high-quality goods and innovation strengthens its brand.
