Moreover, Political Harrow is a local government district and borough in North West London, England. The local authority is Harrow London Borough Council. It is one of the boroughs in Greater London, located 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Charing Cross. The borough has a population of almost 250,000 people and covers an area of 15.5 square miles (40 km2). The borough is renowned for its diverse communities, including a large Asian population, and its wide range of cultural, leisure, and sporting facilities. The borough is well connected to the rest of London and the wider world through its extensive transport network, including the London Underground and Overground lines and several bus routes and cycle paths.

In addition, Harrow is home to some digital media companies, anCouncilouncil is investing in a digital strategy to help stimulate the local economy. (Peyrefitte, 2020, p. 340)

Nevertheless, the key health priority for the Harrow borough is reducing obesity. Analysis of competition and health data in the area shows that obesity is a significant health concern in the borough. The proportion of adults classified as obese in the area is higher than the national average, with 33.4% of adults classified as obese compared to the national average of 28.2%. This suggests that obesity is a significant health concern in the borough, and reducing it should be a priority. Additionally, the prevalence of obesity in children aged 10-11 is also higher than the national average, with 28.6% of children classified as obese compared to the national average of 20.1%. This further emphasizes the need to prioritize reducing obesity in the Harrow borough.

Methodology

Moreover, one approach to collecting and sharing data relevant to obesity as a health priority would be to create a mobile application that would connect residents to local resources to help them achieve better health outcomes. (Chaffey, 2019, p.40) This App could allow users to track their food intake and physical activity levels, track progress over time, and provide access to resources such as nutrition counseling, exercise classes, and health screenings. The App also allows users to connect with other users in their community, creating a community of support for those seeking to improve their Health. The App allows users to share their progress with their healthcare providers, allowing for more comprehensive progress monitoring. Finally, the data collected from the App could be used to monitor and audit the provision of health services related to obesity in the borough.

Data that could enable the Harrow borough to better monitor or audit provision for health priority include the following: Population health data, including the prevalence of chronic diseases, health risk factors, and health outcomes. Apart from that is the Data on access to health care, including wait times for appointments and availability of community health services. On the other hand is the Health service utilization data, including the number of visits to primary care providers and specialists, hospitalizations, and emergency room visits. Nevertheless, Health service quality data, including patient experience and satisfaction ratings, health outcomes, and provider performance, is also appropriate data that would enable the Harrow borough to better monitor or audit provisions for obesity as a health priority. Additionally, the other Data is from the Health care costs, including insurance premiums, cost of services, and out-of-pocket spending. Lastly is the Health disparities data, including differences in access, utilization, and quality of care based on race/ethnicity, gender, and other factors.

Harrow is also in its journey of developing a Community Weight Management Programme. This program provides support and advice to individuals and families who are overweight or obese. It offers one-to-one support and a range of group activities such as health walks, cookery classes, exercise classes, and nutrition workshops. (Gilbert, 2018, p.75)

Harrow Borough Council recognizes that obesity is a severe public health issue and has taken steps to address the issueCouncilouncil works closely with the NHS and local partners to support local people to maintain a healthy weight and reduce their risk of obesity-related health problemsCouncilouncil has several initiatives and services in place which aim to increase levels of physical activity and improve nutrition. Improving access to physical activity and leisure opportunities, such as subsidized gym memberships, sports clubs, and exercise classes. (Martin, 2021, p.41)On the other hand, as analyzed, Harrow borough’s current provision for obesity is by supporting local businesses to provide healthier food choices and reduce the number of unhealthy foods on offer and providing local people with advice and support on nutrition and healthy eating. In addition, the current provision encourages active travel, such as walking and cycling. It improves access to healthy and affordable food, including promoting food co-ops and community-led food projects. Additionally, Harrow borough’s current provision for obesity is an identified health priority by providing targeted advice and support to families, pregnant women, and young children to help them maintain a healthy weight.

Marketing Plan.

The executive summary of this marketing plan will provide an overview of our proposed mobile App and its service delivery model. It will explain how our organization can meet the needs of service users in the borough by using a mobile app and how our marketing plan will ensure that the App is successful. This plan will focus on our App’s segmentation, targeting, and positioning and the marketing elements needed to reach our target audience. Our organization is proposing a mobile app for the borough’s commission. This App will provide a suite of services to service users in the borough, including information on local services and resources, access to mental health services, and assistance with job searches. Our organization will leverage the latest mobile technology to provide a comprehensive, user-friendly platform accessible to service users. Concerning the target, our target market consists of service users in the borough looking for information on local services and resources, mental health services, and job searches. (Peyrefitte, 2020, P.3)Specifically, our target market includes unemployed people, who have mental health issues, need food banks, or are homeless. Furthermore, the mobile App will be positioned as a comprehensive, user-friendly platform for service users in the borough.

Our App will provide access to mental health services, job searches, and other services and information on local services and resources. We will position our App as the go-to source for service users in the borough to get the help they need. According to the service delivery model, our service delivery model will be based on a subscription model. We will offer different levels of subscription based on the level of service users require. Our marketing mix will include the following elements: Digital Advertising We will use digital advertising to reach our target audience. (Milliman, 2018, P.57)We will use display ads, search engine ads, and social media ads to reach our target audience. Apart from that element is Public Relations. We will use public relations to build awareness of our App and reach out to potential users. We will use press releases, interviews, and social media to spread the word about our App.

Moreover, the other element is the Referral Agents. We will also use referral agents, such as social workers and mental health professionals, to help promote our App and encourage referrals. Then lastly, through the use of Events: We will host events to introduce our App to the potential audience.

Recommended Demarketing/ Demand Management Tactics for Mobile App Service.

On the other hand, the following are the recommended demarketing or demand marketing tactics for the proposed mobile App service as it is investigated that it is most likely to generate much interest. For instance, as a marketing manager, I recommend Creating a waiting list system. It will allow users to sign up for a waitlist and be notified when the App launches. This will allow the company to control the demand, creating a sense of anticipation and exclusivity. (Yon, 2019, p.59) I recommend offering limited-time promotions. Offering discounts or special offers for a limited time can help manage the demand for the App. This will encourage users to sign up for the App and use it quickly.

On the other hand, the demand management tactic for the mobile app service is by setting usage limits. Setting limits on the number of times a user can use the App in a given period can help manage the demand for the App. This will ensure that the App is not overloaded with too many users. Besides, I recommend the use of referral systems. Encouraging users to refer their friends and family to the App can help manage its demand (Ogaz, 2022, p.11). This will help create a viral effect and encourage more users to sign up. Lastly, I recommend the demand management tactic of offering exclusive access. Offering exclusive access to certain features or content can help manage the demand for the App. This will create a feeling of exclusivity and will encourage users to use the App more.

Mobile App Cost Analysis.

The cost of creating this medical mobile App depends on various factors such as the complexity of how the App will be, the number of features it requires, the type of platform it needs to be developed for, and the amount of support and maintenance required. A rough estimate of the cost of creating a mobile medical app can range from $5 000 to $10 000. This cost does not include any ongoing support and maintenance which may be required for the App. Depending on the complexity of this medical App and the features it requires, additional costs may be incurred for hosting, testing, and analytics. Additionally, depending on the type of platform the App is being developed for, there may be additional costs associated with app store submission fees.
