Introduction
Exception leaders have been a definite phenomenon throughout history, resulting in expected qualitative changes in society via their leadership qualities, which include vision, values and the ability to inspire followers. This article analyzes Obama, the 44th president of the United States, who is one of the great and impactful leaders. I made this analysis by observing his leadership characteristics, management functions, and the lessons that can be learnt from his experiences as a country leader. Barack Obama can skillfully tackle intricate issues, unite people of different backgrounds and backgrounds, and make those transformative changes (Cherry, 2023). Obama’s successful campaign as the first black president of the United States of America (USA) and his skilful mediation of the global economic crisis and health care reforms gave him international recognition. They made people worldwide look up to him. In this paper, I shall discuss the key factors associated with Obama’s leadership influence, which are his three leadership characteristics, the management functions that he employed and the value that can be taken from his interactive approach to management. Through the application, the lessons can be learnt by critically analyzing how he managed with leadership principles. The valuable lessons can be used in different contexts to strengthen leadership performance.

Barack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961) is an American politician who was the 44th president of the United States from 2009 until 2017. Before his presidency, he became U.S. senator of Illinois from 2005 to 2008 and Illinois state senator from 1997 to 2004. The leadership journey of the 44th American President, Obama, began while he was working as a community organizer in Chicago and helped revitalize economically deprived and neglected neighbourhoods. Subsequently, he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School, hoping to influence young people and better the world. In 2008, Obama’s ground-breaking presidential campaign, centred on” hope and change”, acquired millions of citizens and led to his historical elhistoricallytion of the first African American president. During his latter years in office, Obama guided the nation out of the Great Recession, introduced the Affordable Care Act as healthcare reform, completed the withdrawal of troops from the Iraq War, and promoted the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and environmental protection. He left a legacy that inspired the whole world to be part of societal change and pursue a more just and fair society.
Reasons for Impactful Leadership
Analyzing the leadership impact of Barack Obama, we conclude that being an influential leader for the people entails inspiring hope, transforming difficult circumstances, and bridging the gulfs between different groups for a shared purpose. His presidency was an epoch-making period in American history, which endowed him with trailblazer status, as he measurelessly rendered a unique impact on the nation and the world. As an orator, Obama was his most vital attribute, inspiring the world and making his leadership accepted and impactful. His oratory prowess and authentic charismata made it possible for Cobbett to establish communication with audiences on an intellectual and emotional level. Additionally, the course has concentrated on organizational behaviour, decision-making processes, and teamwork, which have seized the art of building a shared and harmonious environment. Community leaders are anticipated to cultivate an environment in which different points of view become valuable, free speech is encouraged, and collective knowledge is applied to locating innovation and the solutions to problems (Varma et al., 2020). To this end, the course also introduces ethics and social responsibility, which ought to be the top considerations for leaders when making decisions. Therefore, from the above, it is evident that leaders should maintain high moral standards and contribute positively to their communities and beyond. By embedding these principles into our leadership principles, we can continuously target and accomplish positive influence beyond our circles of involvement.

To conclude, this experiential exercise has revealed to the leader the need to acquire more and better leadership skills to benefit our team and achieve considerable success and steps toward a positive society. As our generation’s prospective leaders, we should accept the legacy of Obama’s administration; we shall incorporate the principles of sound management into our respective leadership styles, and together, we will endeavour to lead/navigate with authenticity, with clear and targeted visions, and finally, with a solid dedication to founding/implementing rational and effective decisions.
