Introduction
In Florida, breast cancer remains a major health problem that primarily affects women. Effective health promotion methods are necessary to combat breast cancer due to its high incidence and fatality rates. The purpose of this essay is to provide a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) objective for improving Florida’s breast cancer preventive indicators. By utilizing the protective motive model and evidence-based treatments, this objective seeks to improve women’s health habits in order to reduce their risk of breast cancer.
Problem Identification
Breast cancer is the second most women-specific cancer mortality condition recorded in Florida. With the assistance of the newly developed technologies, the death rate kept being stagnant, which an alarming fact was. Many women are affected by hazard factors that are connected with hormone therapy, genetic predisposition and lifestyle options, and this is the reason this kind of cancer is so common in the state (Florida Department of Health, 2020). Women in the State of Florida are a population that is easily set back by this kind of health problems, which require specific interventions that seek to prevent the occurrence of breast cancer.

It is feasible to raise awareness, promote early diagnosis, and support women’s healthy lifestyle choices by putting into practice evidence-based interventions and utilizing theoretical frameworks such as the protective motive model (Houghton, Howland & McDonald, 2019). In order to properly direct these efforts, a SMART objective is suggested in this essay.
SMART Goal
Specific: Expand the female portion in Florida, among women older than 40 who undergo screening mammograms, by 15% within the next two years.
Measurable: Trace the amount of females cancer screened above 40 that underwent mammograms in the previous year by referring to state health databases. Carry out surveys to determine the level of awareness and screening program participation rates among experts.
Achievable: Engage in outreach programs, information campaigns, and sponsored screening services in partnership with community centres, health groups, and medical professionals to increase access to treatment. Target the availability of infrastructure and cost for the women’s group by mounting a public awareness campaign and providing financial assistance (Krok-Schoen et al., 2019).
Relevant: Concurrently be the mission in line with the event aim to prohibit Florida breast cancer incidence and deaths. Emphasize the role of early diagnosis and screening that could lead to better outcomes and cut expenses.
Time-Bound: Eliminate the possibility of glaring shortcomings in mammography screening services by reaching a 15% rise within two years. Set quarterly goals to track progress and even changes in strategies and actions (Yao et al., 2019).
