11 September 2001 Attack

The 9/11 attacks refer to a sequence of hijacking airlines in line with the suicide attack in 2001 by 19 militants of Islamic radical groups, specifically al-Qaeda, against the US. On 11 September 2001, the terrorist boarded a domestic aircraft in groups of four, immediately restricted the crews, and started managing the entire plane (Conover et al. 2022). At exactly 8:46 am, the first plan sought to have come from Boston, heading to the north tower of the WTC in New York. Those who saw it thought it might be an accident composing a commuter plane. The doubt that the USA was under attack came in when a second plane, flight 175 from United airlines, also followed an unusual tract to the south about some 17 minutes later after the first one. Some minutes later, after the third plane from Dulles airport followed the southwest side Federal Aviation Authority released nationwide orders for the group to halt.

In an hour, the fourth plane crashed after the passengers attempted to reveal the attackers trying to overpower the assailants through their cell phones. At around 9:59 in the morning, the attackers who emerged from the south of the tower had critically damaged the Word Trade Centre leading to the collapse of the south side, and some minutes later, the north side also fell (Conover et al. 2022). The Nation has developed the following strategies to prevent terrorists and other hostile actors’ entry into the USA (Patel et 2020). Detecting terrorists planning to gain access to the United States is a way of halting them from exploiting the travel systems, immigration, and trade (Manzanero et 2022). The DHS exercises this by incorporating several tools that help detect the attackers and deny them access to the country. To successfully deny them entry via the designated port, the department has implemented various vetting programs(Conover et al., 2022). Besides, the department is also working with the foreign government to ensure they can get an individual’s identity and their intended threat before causing harm to the united states.

The US government made sure to advance the posture of security governing aviation, maritime transportation, and the surface. For insider threats, the department has to offer protection against insider threats to every form of transport, making sure they advance their employees screening strategies at various access points and enlighten through training on the insider threats(Conover et al. 2022). The US government should reinforce its foreign partners’ counterterrorism competencies. The international partners will improve their abilities to recognize risks and threats(Patel et 2020). Besides, they will also complement the department to be in a position to gain assess to risky individuals since they have the databases. To further prevent terrorism and the targeted violence, the terrorism nation strategy calls for the US government to implement worldwide prevention architecture incorporating civil society, technology companies, and private partners.

As a result of the terrorist attack and threats, the United States of America has been proactive in its endeavors to enforce the law, mainly to counteract terrorism. FBI is one of the American agencies responsible for countering international and domestic terrorism(Manzanero et 2022). For this reason, the FBI has come up with a robust response to the threats of the terrorist model. The FBI has a criminal laboratory that analyzes illegal activities involving chemical or biological agents (Patel et 2020). If the FBI agent detects a threat, they reach out to the intelligence community, informing them of the danger through national law enforcement systems of telecommunications (Manzanero et 2022). Other agencies responsible for counteracting terrorism include the Bureau of counterterrorism and the US department cooperating with the department of defense and the intelligence community.

Before 11 September 2001, they still used to be terrorism attracts; however, this particular one was extremely severe and considerably changed the world. The 9/11 attack resulted in the loss of 3,000 innocent individuals; as a result, the perception of people on terrorism changed as people took it as a worldwide phenomenon that results in pain, death, and destruction. As a result, sturdy strategies to prevent a similar occurrence have always been in place. Due to the rise in technology, the security council has been instilling resolutions to counteract any act of terrorism(Manzanero et 2022). The new key denies all the UN members not to offer the terrorist any financial support but instead to unite to surrender them to justice.

The UN members signed this law because the terrorist that took part in the 9/11 attack were later identified as residents of Sound Arabia and other Arab Nations being financed by the al Qaeda terrorist organization. The organization from Saudi under Osama bin laden is assumed to be assisting the Americans in Israel in their Persian Gulf War by keeping their presence together with the military based in the Middle East (Miller, 2022). Another group of terrorists had resided in the United States for not less than a year and had even gone ahead, joining the American commercial flight centers for flying classes(Manzanero et 2022). The final group of terrorists had made their access to America some months before the attack and assumed the role of a “muscle” operation. Thus the US government, in corporation with the security council and other international countries, had to devise resolutions to help counteract terrorism attacks Miller, R. (2022). Unlike other terrorist attacks in America, 9/11 is considered to have the most significant impact that the world experienced.

One of the significant reasons is that the attack resulted in the loss of thousands of innocent life (Manzanero et 2022). Secondly, the attack led to a collapse of a significant building structure; that functioned as the headquarters of the US department and the World Trade Centre. The failure of the World Trade Centre came was felt globally. The state of the economy in the United States of America was in devastating conditions, and it would take some years to bring it back to where it was before the attack (Conover et al., 2022). The aftermath was that the prices of goods increased, particularly gas and oil, since the US government feared a terrorist attack during their importation from the Middle East. The economy did not recover quickly as most travel and tourism industries declined.
