Minimum Requirements for the police

This leads to increased job satisfaction and opportunities for advancement. The degree would grant them the ability to communicate effectively with the public (Neubauer & Fradella, 2018). Second, it would allow them to understand and de-escalate situations without resorting to violence. Third, it would give them the ability to understand the law and how to best work within its parameters. Fourth, it would allow them to see the world from multiple perspectives, which is crucial in a job that demands much empathy. Finally, it would allow them to provide testimony in court that is both knowledgeable and credible.

The criminal justice system in America needs serious reform. The current system is biased against minorities, leading to increased police brutality and sentencing disparities. These problems must be addressed to create a more just and equitable system. There are several potential solutions to these problems, which include a college degree to be a minimum requirement for the police, hiring practices of police, and understanding political influence.
