Introduction
The human resource (HR) department faces several challenges in the recruitment and retaining employees in the organization. Human resources departments have to ensure that they put in place adequate employee compensation and other methods that will ensure that employees are motivated to work. As requested by Dr. Thompsom, the HR team of capraTek has conducted extensive research to identify and recommend a suitable HR platform that aligns with the company’s goals and addresses the specific needs of the employees, primarily aimed at retaining the company scientists. The evaluation scenarios were selected based on the information from two critical articles, including “What is an HRIS? A Tool for All Your Human Resources Needs, an article written by Sharron Florentine, and “Determining Employees’ Perception through Effective HRIS: An Empirical Study“ written by Makkar and Sanjeveev (2014).
Selected Scenarios
Several criteria were relevant to evaluate the effectiveness of the selected tools. First, the platform must be able to streamline the recruitment and application. Specifically, the platform must be able to track an applicant’s application from posting to tracking of the applicant’s progress. In addition, human resources must be able to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires (Florentine, 2019). This includes providing the recruits with information such as their roles, salaries, and any safety guidelines that are available for the organization. Moreover, the platform must be able to provide employees with opportunities for training and development that enhance the employee knowledge and skills. The capability also allows the organization to record training and learning personnel development plans that allow the employees to follow as they progress within the organization. In addition, the platform must be able to provide employee satisfaction and engagement. Also, the systems must include absence management, including benefits management, vacation time, personal time sic,k time med,ical and family leave, and related time off benefits.
Evaluation of Platforms for their Ability to Meet Employees at Their respective Stage of Life Cycle and Level of Expertise
After thorough research and assessment, the evaluation team identified HR platforms that demonstrated high HR capabilities and aligned with CapraTek employees’ needs. Among the platforms evaluated for possible consideration is BambooHR (Florentine, 2019). The platform offers comprehensive human resource functionalities across the employee life cycle, addressing many functions such as employee training, onboarding, training, and career development.
Platform Capability Assessment
BambooHR provides a user-friendly interface for HR professionals to post job openings, manage applications, and collaborate with hiring entities. The system integrates social media and job boards, allowing qualified applicants to have access to job openings. Additionally, the platform offers customized onboarding checklists and workflows that allow new hires to access information and complete their tasks effectively. Also, BambooHR offers a diverse range of training and development resources. The employee training and development resources include employees tracking progress and personalizing development platforms aimed at the employee’s career goals. Moreover, BambooHR offers thorough skills assessment and competency where employees can track their progress within the organization.
Recommendation
Based on the human resource specialist evaluation, the team recommends adopting the BambooHR platform as the solution for the CapraTek company. The comprehensive features, easy-to-use interface, and scalability make it well-suited for meeting the company’s employee and organizational needs (Makkar Sanjeev,2015). The BambooHR platform also emphasizes employee satisfaction and engagement that aligns with the company’s goals, retaining top talented and skilled employees, especially scientists.
Conclusion
In sum, the selected BammboHR is an appropriate HR platform for enhancing employee experiences and boosting the company’s success. BambooHR emerges as the preferred choice due to its robust capabilities and alignment with the company’s objectives. As HR specialists, we are confident that the implementation of BambooHR will contribute to fostering a culture of innovation, growth, and employee retention within the CapraTek company.
