Project Assignment: Personal View of Organizations
An organization can be established on an individual basis or have a founder team up with others who share their interests. Moreover, organizations can be set up as partnerships when like-minded individuals join together and work out the details of how they will do business. Due to the coordinating nature of information needs from management to employees, good communication is a crucial component of any organization’s functions. Any organization needs a reliable channel for information sharing since ineffective communication hinders the ability of management and administrative divisions to accomplish their jobs well. In this paper, I will provide my thoughts on organizations from the perspectives of their structure, culture, leadership implications, producer’s role, and the factors that motivate people. Organizations are responsible for helping the people in their communities and the employees who work for them.
Groups of people who have come together to pursue a common goal lead to the success or failure of the set objectives; organizations, groups, or businesses fall into this category. Organizing people to work together toward a common goal is the primary purpose of any group. In this way, the organizations will bolster local leadership and contribute to community development. Organizations have been conceptualized in various ways according to a range of theories put forward by those who have regarded them differently. Many people see organizations not only as a means to an end, monetary gain, but also as a unifying force and a generator of social supplies (Ray, 2019). From this vantage point, organizations are revered and vital to society because they enable people to fulfill their basic needs through productivity. People should form organizations if they intend to benefit themselves and the community at large, whether through direct or indirect means, and if their goal is to advance the community’s economic and moral well-being.
The structure of an organization is a product of methodical planning. The building blocks of every organization are its components, the connections between all its elements, and the structure itself. An organization’s guiding philosophy is its structure, which is an excellent blend of interactions between its constituent parts. Reviewing the literature on structural links from various angles reveals that organizational structure is composed of heavy elements on one side and lightweight components on the other (Shrestha et al., 2019). This is evident from a systematic assessment of the arrangement. What makes up an organization’s structure is how its activities are divided up, organized, and coordinated. Organizations have set up frameworks to control member performance and manage operational issues. In my opinion, a well-defined structure that supports the stated goals is essential for any business. If one wants their organization to succeed and advance, they need to look no further than its structure.
Everyone needs to be aware of their position in the company to stay on track. Nevertheless, organizations are seen as inherently racist bureaucratic entities; discrimination should not exist within this framework (Ray, 2019). People are tripping over one another while doing their jobs because of the muddled thinking caused by a complicated organizational structure, leading to conflicts. The entity’s organizational structure dictates reporting and official interactions and shows the managers’ control span and level in the hierarchy. The organizational structure should specify the duties of each member and the duration of their employment. Organizational success and ease of management are outcomes of this structure, which clarifies roles and responsibilities so that everyone can work together to fulfill the mission. Work should be done swiftly, and people should be allocated in fields of specialization according to the organizational structure. The organization’s productivity will increase or decrease based on its structure.
Diverse teams should be able to thrive in terms of organizational culture. Good behavior in a company is defined by its culture, which is based on the shared views and values set by its leaders and reinforced in many ways to shape the viewpoints, ethics, and understanding of its employees. A company’s actions are always framed within the outline of its culture. No uniform solution works for every organization because every industry and set of circumstances is unique. One trend among the most prosperous businesses is the development of a robust corporate culture. All members of the group firmly hold cultural priorities, and these principles are grounded in the organization’s mission and values. Organizations, as groups of individuals working toward a similar goal, are responsible for fostering a culture that values and upholds ethical standards (Paais & Pattiruhu, 2020). Everyone in the organization, regardless of their socioeconomic status or skin color, deserves equal treatment. For a business to succeed and positively impact society, it is essential that all parties involved treat one another fairly.
Organizations ought to foster a flexible and responsive culture to keep up with the ever-changing environment. Capabilities that let an organization react quickly to changes in the market should be present and strengthened. Due to the ever-changing nature of the world, organizational culture and structure must work in tandem. Companies need to cultivate fluid cultural values and be adaptable. Any group’s cultural norms ought to be ethical and promote the greater good of society and the organization’s constituents (Paais & Pattiruhu, 2020). Such a cultural formation promotes an attribute of an order control mechanism that persists throughout one’s life, manifested in a set of highly detailed and precise protocols, guidelines, and standards. Consequently, the emphasis in organizational culture is on efficiency and internal control.
Organizations are founded to address community problems by creating products or services that meet demands, which is why I consider them producers. In most cases, people start businesses hoping to better their financial situation. As a result, from a monetary perspective, organizations need to track the movement of relevant economic material parts. Prior to being made available to the market, services and products should be prepared. When it comes to linking services and productions, organizations play a significant part in ensuring that community members have what they need. Organizations are the backbone of every economy, and workers rely on them for financial support (Whitson et al., 2021). Since every group gets together for a particular reason, crucial decisions about how they run their day-to-day business should be made. Providing services or goods to those who need them is the primary goal of most organizations. Therefore, organizations should prioritize strategies that boost national income through production, job creation, and general community improvement of living conditions because many individuals hold diverse jobs.
Since individuals usually run organizations, it follows that people are essential to their formation. People are an organization’s most valuable asset since they create the optimal conditions for sustained success. Yet, I ought to admit that people are the most challenging resource for organizations to oversee, as individuals depend on the actions of others to inspire them to fulfill their responsibilities to the best of their abilities. Organizations should establish a culture and structure that fosters essential qualities to keep its stakeholders engaged and its employees motivated (Griffin et al., 2020). One way to accomplish this is for the management to pay attention to employees’ needs and provide them with opportunities to reap the rewards of their labor. This will have a direct impact on employees’ behavior within the company. Every member of staff is committed to doing their job well and following the rules that the company has established. Nonetheless, when the company is not inspiring its employees, their motivation to work drops, and they end up producing less than expected. For an organization to succeed, it is essential to inspire its workers to provide their best.
My perception of organizations significantly affects diverse implications on the leadership and team that make up the various lines of operation. First, leadership should adopt the most effective organizational model, which means that everyone on the team, including leaders, will know their specific responsibilities and how best to contribute to the overall success. There will not be any leadership disputes in this kind of organizational model because everyone knows their duty, and the leadership approach specifies how long each leader needs to stay in charge. Organizational improvement can be achieved through strong leadership and the empowerment of employees. When a company does well, it gives its executives and employees the tools they need to do their jobs well.
Furthermore, due to the strong coordination that exists in the organization, leaders in a successful model will have good relations with the other teams of workers. Organizations should maintain a well-organized system that allows for smooth communication and a culture that encourages workers to be ethical and motivated to foster teamwork. Since everyone in the group is aware of their role and can carry it out with little oversight and minimal friction, the organization’s output will be excellent in such an atmosphere.
Management and staff need to coordinate information on operations, which is why efficient communication is crucial for organizations. Managerial and administrative units are unable to do their jobs well due to poor internal communication. Therefore, it is critical for every organization to set up a trustworthy means of communication. Businesses should make it easy for their customers and employees to make a good impact. To succeed, adapt, and respond quickly to the ever-changing needs and dynamics of the global environment, organizations should be cautious when cultivating their culture, structure, people, and roles as producers. Due to its optimistic and ongoing success, a successful leadership model will be crucial for the newly created business. The organizational structure lays out the duties of every member, from the lowest-ranking affiliate of the fraternity all the way to the top executive. A successful organizational model, in my opinion, will inspire its members by paying attention to cultural values, allowing it to adapt to changes in the market. Organizations should uphold societal norms and contribute to economic development by addressing community issues, be they social or economic.
