By understanding the emotional needs of their team and providing emotional support, a leader can show that they are invested in the team’s well-being. This will make it easier for a leader to communicate expectations and delegate tasks. It also allows a leader to recognize individual contributions and provide meaningful feedback. Love is a key people skill in leadership because it helps build strong relationships and encourages a team to work towards a common goal.

Finally, leveling with your team is also vital for sharpening people skills. Leaders should be honest and open about their expectations, goals, and challenges. This helps to build trust and encourages team members to work together to achieve their goals.
