Research Paradigm

Interpretative research paradigm and qualitative research approach are employed in this paper. The research paradigm uses close, in-depth observation of people in their natural settings to draw precise conclusions. In this interpretive paradigm, the research serves as the primary instrument for data collecting and has a loosely defined framework. According to this paradigm, the researchers participate in a social setting to learn about it. The paradigm makes an effort to examine and comprehend phenomena from a humanistic standpoint (Ugwu et al., 2021). This form of study enables the researcher to work closely with the group being studied. In this study, the interpretive research paradigm enabled the researchers to readily obtain accurate data and identify some behavioral tendencies that a positivistic method cannot show. However, it has a drawback in that the researcher’s engagement could easily cause them to lose track of the study’s objectives, resulting in inaccurate data about the investigated topic.

The article reviews the relatively new but quickly expanding literature that uses computational methods (especially in the business administration informatics environment) to study formal structures, address issues with the design of institutions and innovations, and analyze industry dynamics. It also discusses the value of simulation frameworks in corporate strategy research.

Significance of the Study

The essence of conducting research about simulation as an information system in business administration is to contribute to the existing knowledge on how and why it is important in a business environment. Since simulation training may simulate real-life situations in a secure and controlled setting (Roetzel, 2019). A qualitative research strategy called “phenomenological research” aims to comprehend and characterize a phenomenon’s fundamental elements (Stilwell & Harman, 2021). The methodology examines human experience in daily life while putting aside the researchers’ prior notions about the phenomena. In other words, phenomenology research investigates actual events to learn more about how individuals interpret them. As a result, it is effective in this simulation research to help come up with a real-world business administration model.
