The objective of this course is to enhance my capacity for written communication in addition to assisting me in developing a clearer sense of my path and the ways in which achieving my educational goals might lead to professional success. As I reflect on the Personal and Professional Narrative Essay in the second week of class, I have concluded that my ethos rests on integrity, honesty and reliability to carry on what seems to be impossible regardless of the circumstances to help others realize how worth their life is. Notably, from the trauma I had after being separated from my family members, my family always comes first in my life, and I will not ever let that change. Due to this, I will ensure that they get the very best medical care that is available to avoid any form of trauma that I experienced. Humans have a responsibility to work toward the accomplishment of those things that make us happy. For as long as I can remember, I have held the belief that one should always care from the heart. My love and devotion to the people in my life who are most important to me can best be conveyed through the act of taking care of them. Integrity and family have transformed my writing skills. As I aspire to a Human Resources position, I must overcome obstacles, embrace continuous development, and envisage a future where compassionate leadership promotes equality and inclusivity.
For the last month and a half, I have made significant progress with regard to my writing abilities. I had the impression from the very beginning of this course that writing was not only difficult but also occasionally time-consuming. Consequently, I was right about both of those things. When I sit down to write, it is often difficult for me to figure out where to start. With time, the development of my writing skills has opened up new doors for me, both in my personal life and in my professional life, and I am extremely grateful for these new possibilities. Strong writing ability is one of the most important skills that an individual must cultivate in order to be successful in the current world. On the other hand, the position of Human Resources requires one to learn about different people and how they are in different situations by repeatedly carrying out the process, as writers can improve their writing skills by repeatedly practising particular writing strategies.
One of the assessments that I wrote in the second week has excellent interpersonal skills. I wrote this assessment in relation to human resource management, which is a position I am passionate to hold. It is essential to keep open lines of communication with people around to ensure integrity and honesty, and this can be accomplished through the utilization of the available resources to help those in need. Nearly every one of my jobs requires me to impart information to a diverse group of individuals, both locally and in other parts of the world. Not only does efficient communication contribute to success, but it also has the potential to serve as the driving force behind the positive development of change. Participating actively in one’s local community is one of the best ways to leave a mark on the world.
Consequently, my writing abilities have progressed tremendously over the past few weeks in comparison to where they were at that point in time. I am aware of several of my strengths, as well as some of my flaws, and I have experience working with a variety of resources that can assist me in enhancing and growing my academic writing abilities. Also, I am aware of several of my weaknesses. Some of the qualities that I bring to my written communication include the ability to spot errors in grammar and sentence structure, the fluidity of my sentence construction, a firm determination, and the fact that I never give up on my writing goals. My command of grammar enables me to construct meaningful sentences by allowing me to properly structure the language, which in turn enables me to construct sentences.
In addition to my command of grammar, one of my strengths in writing is my ability to keep going even when things get difficult and to choose from a large vocabulary. It will be easier for me to satisfy the stringent requirements of academic writing and professional writing if I have a vocabulary that is broad in scope and covers a wide variety of subject areas. When I read the experiences of other people who have been in managerial positions and Human Resource positions, and despite having difficulties, they have prevailed, I find the resilience to write that I need to continue writing.
Most importantly, the ethos that I articulated in the paper that I turned in during Week 2 of this course assisted me in developing my writing talents even further. When I sit down to write anything, the first thing that goes through my head is how I can express my thoughts and feelings in a way that is understandable to the reader while at the same time being compelling to them. My successes would not be possible without the optimistic mindset that I have maintained. Positivity is a quality that can improve one’s outlook on any given circumstance that arises in their day-to-day existence (Sun & Wang, 2020). It is because a person with a positive attitude tends to see the bright side of things, which is useful to make sure that nothing is standing in the way of them achieving their objectives or realizing their ambitions. Writing is one of the learning skills that require a broad skill set, as well as a good command of grammar, punctuation, as well as the utilization of vocabulary.
In addition to these skills, good writing also requires an extensive vocabulary. Learners at any given institution will automatically be granted admission to more remarkable academic accomplishments and better college scores if they possess strong writing abilities. It is because strong writing abilities are a prerequisite for college. I am a conscientious student who is dedicated to improving my writing skills, and this has been one of the most notable qualities of mine that has allowed me to make the most of exceptional chances for development that have presented themselves to me during my time. In order for me to be successful in this endeavour, I need not only to have an in-depth understanding of the subject at hand but also the capacity to articulate my thoughts clearly when they are put down on paper.
As a result, each point that I desire to make must be accompanied by all of the correct citations of resources and supported arguments in order for it to hold its own in relation to the overall theme. It is also imperative that I keep in mind that it is my responsibility to ensure that I am making these points and have the ability to demonstrate that I am responsible for the work that I write by providing evidence and justification for any articles that are utilized, ideas that are stated, or language that is recited within my writings.
Despite the fact that I have a number of strengths that have proven to be helpful to me throughout the course of my academic career, I also have a number of weaknesses that have a negative impact on the quality of the writing that I produce. One of the drawbacks is the requirement to carry out research whenever one is tasked with producing a report or putting together an assignment. My attention is easily distracted by tasks that are either too lengthy or too taxing for the amount of time required to complete them, and as a result, I frequently fail to complete the required steps because of the domestic work that I have to do as a mother. When I have to write papers that require a lot of in-depth research and thinking, I find it difficult to meet the deadlines, and this makes keeping on track one of the most significant challenges I face. When I sit down to write, family issues are frequently the most difficult obstacle for me to overcome.
However, my objective for the remainder of my life is to keep developing my writing skills to the best of my ability. If I want to be successful in the sector where compassion is needed the most, then I need to have strong written communication skills so that I can express what has to be done in order to win the hearts of others for a smooth workflow. In order to meet the challenge of enhancing my writing abilities and better preparing myself for a position in Human Resources, I need to practice and maintain a regular writing routine on a daily or weekly basis (Schmitt, 2019). It will allow me to meet the challenge of enhancing my writing abilities and better prepare me for work in the field. For instance, I am currently communicating with prospective organizations through the use of emails that are geared toward conveying the goal of ensuring organizational success and how to ensure the message is clear. After attending some of the webinars on avoiding the bias that the Writing Center provided, I realized that this idea contributes to the overarching goal of developing into a strong and professional writer.
Additionally, I need to locate helpful resources and support systems, as well as devise a schedule in order to keep track of how my objectives are progressing toward completion. Personal development, both inside and outside of the workplace, is high on my list of priorities. When it comes to providing good service and working well as a team, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely is the single most important factor. The Human Resource position falls under this category where one needs to have excellent communication skills in order to deal with people from different cultural backgrounds with different needs (Stone et al., 2020). It is expected of people working in the position to have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. It is an absolute necessity to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in writing in this day and age when information is at fingertips. In Human Resources, people are required to communicate in writing and acceptable formats, including email, reports, contracts, and online messaging.
Moreover, the use of oral communication is key in this sector to make it successful by linking the project to other people in different departments to help in carrying out tasks, ensuring productivity and satisfaction. Conversely, one cannot bring about the outcomes above if he/she is unable to communicate efficiently (Sun & Wang, 2020). Developing my writing skills further is likely beneficial to me in the long run for the passionate endeavours that I am involved in. In the future, I will be required to write a variety of different types of documents, such as emails, reports, contracts, advertisements, and online messaging, to name a few examples. My skill sets have expanded as a direct result of my participation in this course, with those expansions also being influenced by my previous academic experiences.
Furthermore, a global organization that provides consulting services forecasts that the Human Resources position, which is the position in which I wish to work, continues to go through significant upheaval in terms of ensuring people are safe mentally, physically and emotionally in the coming years. According to this forecast, there will be a greater number of individuals in need of Human Resource knowledge in dealing with their problems, either disputes at work or trauma-related issues, in the next ten years than in the last fifty years. When compared to the growth rate of the Human Resource position in the past twenty years, the growth has increased by 5.5%. Despite a large number of individuals who are in need to be in this position, most of them do not have compassion but only focus on their interests, as it requires significant initial dedication and selflessness to get off the ground. People who enter this position for the first time usually face a challenge of high requirements where they utilize their time testing ground for new roles and concepts while simultaneously developing new skills for proper service delivery.
In the upcoming five years, I foresee myself working as a Human Resource to provide services in some capacity where equality and inclusivity will be my priorities to ensure everyone receives the services he/she entails. My ultimate career goal is to work in a position where I will have the ability to give a strong emphasis on providing excellent services both to patients and workers, and I am excited about the opportunity to face the challenge of devoting the amount of time and energy necessary to make this dream a reality. In the past and the present, I’ve been fortunate enough to work closely with wonderful managers and owners; in the future, I’d like to be that person for other people. According to the statistics that point to its potential for expansion, it is anticipated that the healthcare sector will continue to expand over the next five years. The indications provided by the statistics support the expectation. Overall, working as a healthcare assistant is a vital role for my passion for working as a Human resource so that I can help both workers and patients with proper service delivery. I want to have some input into the planning and execution of that project. When it comes to my writing skills, it is evident that I have improved over the past weeks. I have realized that some people have to work to develop their writing skills, while others are born with the ability to write in their blood. My ability to communicate effectively in writing has improved noticeably due to the daily practice of writing that I have been doing, which will be useful in my future career in human resources.
