Only 30,000 people live in Midtown, compared to 800,000 in downtown Capital City. In general, lobbyists are out front advocating for the new enterprise. This entails going on the attack and informing lawmakers during social gatherings, prearranged meetings, or just via chance events. It works like a paparazzi, except it is a politician instead of a celebrity. Additionally, the elites are typically very wealthy and powerful. Unfortunately, enormous wealth puts a person in a higher position of power overall based on their value alone. Power is not something that can be easily discerned. Anyone who wishes to advocate for the project’s approval may be a lobbyist for the group surrounding Mary. For this strategy to be adopted by the legislature when elections are held, Mary and her advisors may start influencing legislators now (Polzer et al., 2021). Those who contributed money to this project are among the aristocracy surrounding Mary. This refers to Victor Morrison and the investors in Capital Sports Corporation. Because they are publicly subsidizing this new anticipated economic growth, the municipal council is not considered among the elites.
The creation of tactics to carry out this strategy must come next. Politics may be tricky business, but Mary would be best served by being forthright about the advantages of this recently proposed ice rink.
