Early Detection and Prevention
Introduction
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) brings a major challenge to the global healthcare systems, with how it continues to spread and cause sickness to patients. There is a need to detect the disease as early as possible to reduce its prevalence in humans of CKD to reduce its morbidity effectively. A strong PowerPoint presentation developed properly could be powerful in providing chronic kidney disease information in a better manner to prevent it through raising awareness about it. In this essay, I will discuss the major concepts I gained from PowerPoint development resources that were provided and effectively relate them to chronic kidney disease information.
Effective Slide Deck Creation
Creating an effective slide deck is crucial, as seen from the provided resources. The Beginner’s Guide to Microsoft PowerPoint video was useful in addressing the issue of structuring slides in a structured and coherent way to ensure information is well organized, which involves using concise contexts, with the flow of information being logical and supported with visual elements like charts and graphs (Nuts & Bolts Speed Training, 2019). When we apply the concept of an effective slide deck to chronic kidney disease information, the deck would include a prevalence and definition section as well as other elements of risk, including common symptoms like hypertension and diabetes, and preventative and diagnostic measures. The information from each slide should be clear and concise, not overloading information but making sure that major points are well represented on the slides.
My prior education and experience made me remember how poorly I designed slide decks, which made retention and understanding of my presentation could have been better. CKD has complex medical facets that require a good presentation design to drive points home for the audience to better understand the content (Creative Venus, 2019). Healthcare professionals can now facilitate PowerPoint presentations that are understandable to all by using the resources provided for PowerPoint presentation and engagement, improving the provision of knowledge on the disease and proper ways of preventing the disease
Proper Citation and Avoiding Plagiarism
One other important point gained from the readings and video resources is avoiding plagiarism and using citations. How to cite sources in PowerPoint videos by effectively giving credit to new information or images utilized in the presentation (Nuts & Bolts Speed Training, 2019). Accurate presentation of information in the context of chronic kidney disease research and critical findings in terms of should be done so that the audience are provided with only credible information
I have personally encountered cases where information presented in PowerPoint could be more accurate and, the sources of information need to be cited. This may cause some form of misinformation and a lack of trust from the audience (Creative Venus, 2019). Academic integrity and credibility in presentations are necessary for anyone doing PowerPoint presentations, especially in health, where reliability and credibility are of profound importance. Citing information helps the audience verify your data or access additional learning resources.
Conclusion
Regarding chronic diseases like CDK, citation practices and design are necessary to help people identify the disease early and prevent it effectively. Providing accurate information with proper citations can help promote important information by healthcare information, contributing to effective preventative information through creating proper citations. When utilized correctly, PowerPoint presentations can be powerful in addressing issues with chronic Kidney disease and other diseases and the complications that come with them.
