Introduction
After a 60-year career, Umm Kulthum recorded around 300 songs, and her cries of longing still reverberate from cabs, radios, and cafes from across Arab world today. While singing sophisticated Arabic poetry, she had a profound impact on some of the best vocalists in the Western world. In the song’s first few verses, lyrics with the first and fourth choruses are merged to establish a new tune. The subject of the play piqued my interest because it concentrated on Umm Kulthum’s challenges with professional advancement. Even if the musical doesn’t make it to New York or London, non-Arab audiences may find its story-telling method fascinating.

Since music has been a part of our lives for so long, other cultures and organizations have been ignored or misinterpreted. Some words and phrases have changed their meaning significantly throughout time. A few subtle linguistic changes changed the song’s mood. It was either better or worse.
