Navigating the Literary Seas: Strengths of My Novel Selection Process

Introduction

In this essay, I will share the strengths I developed and areas I need to work on through the book selection process, and I will also highlight the final stage of the process before I settle on my choice. I will reflect on the standards I set up for deciding on a novel and compare and contrast different ways to go about it, hoping to shed light on the way I would think. By this point, I will summarize my tutoring achievement and the problems I faced and approach how to overcome them. Conclusively, this study offers a guide for me to choose engaging and agreeable reading material and the project to conclude my independent learning semester.

Strengths

One of the most vital traits of my novel selection process was the well-defined and descriptive criteria I maintained. I clearly and detailedly described my expectations from a good book covering various focal points like genre, plot development, themes, and characterization. These fundamental elements made it easy for me to evaluate several novels. Giving me the uniformity to evaluate each option based upon the standards I have set and prepared was a systematic process that facilitated the whole process as it controlled focus and efficiency.

For illustration, I can explicitly see how I can align it to my criteria as soon as the Pi movie title appears in the illustration. Being not indifferent to an incredibly well-written novel, the novel’s captivating writing style, marked by vivid imagery and lyrical prose, immediately caught my attention (Garson & Papineau, 2019). Furthermore, true to my choice of reading material, its depiction of life and death, faith, and the border between human and animal kinds as the characters interact unsettled my mind. Furthermore, the book’s characters, Pi as the main character, with the promise of a thrilling discovery and forger of perseverance, are fascinating.

Furthermore, “The Great Gatsby” had a herculean task in which it won my vote because of some content I related to. Whatever Fitzgerald’s writing style might be, it is richly elaborated and filled with poetic language, thus making F. Scott Fitzgerald a vital role in the history of the Jazz Age with bright depictions. Furthermore, the works’ acceptance of the wily American dream and the multidimensional human luxury offered an essential theme of the top draw to my literary sensibilities.

Challenges

However, those challenges related to choosing from various options must be considered. Each text proved to be of the most significant importance due to its strong points, which made the choice hard. An example of this could be the movie “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, ” widely praised as the audience’s favorite film. “The Illegal,” on the other hand, which is contemporary, raised new crucial questions about immigration and social justice (Langer et al., 2018). Moreover, not all novels had a rigorous product review or a lengthy online synopsis, which led to difficulty ascertaining their suitability with my standards. This ambiguity provided multiple sides to the dilemma, increasing the difficulty of decision-making.

Next Steps

For the final decision, I will participate in favorite book reviews and literary discussions, the books yet to be touched on. Experience with different viewpoints may similarly bring forth various ideas for and against a specific book, helping decisions to be taken in a more balanced view. As an add-on, I plan to read selections or synopses of the other competitors’ works to get a feel of their style and how they convey the message beforehand (Li et al., 2013). Notwithstanding, I find it utterly thrilling to receive personal suggestions and advice from the people and reading groups, as they might see something from a different angle and share something you did not even know about. The acquisition of these strategies would be my endeavor, which would ultimately lead to my making a confident and enlightened decision that stays in line with my reading preferences and curiosity.

Conclusion

After reviewing the order books, we finally found what we were looking for, and now, our choice could have been more challenging and unequivocal. Nevertheless, some prospective options are incredibly worthy of my consideration, yet I should dig deeper into the issue and consider it more seriously. Through the strengths of transparency, thoughtfulness in the criteria, and the perils of a plethora of choices, the upcoming steps planned will undoubtedly lead to the pleasure of reading.
