Leadership and Management in International Business

Following the case that has been posted describing the actual situation found within Intra-NOW- world organization, there is a need to locate the best manager who will be the next of keen from the company. Remember, the manager is the sensitive part of the organization at any given time. Based on the case provided, the recent manager in the Intera-NOW-Company has played a vital role in ensuring that the company is fully established and is running in the correct direction. Based on the 25 years of his reign, several achievements have been made, as described by the case. Upon his retirement, there is the need for the company to consider therefore the idea of choosing the best CEO who will run the company in the required direction (Carmichael, 2021). Based on the leadership profiles that have been provided, many achievements are made by every leader, as has been indicated in the profile. Therefore, it is important to consider giving out the best in the area where the company wants the leader. Based on what has been provided from the four leadership profiles presented in the company setting, I, therefore, choose Jonathan Buso to be the CEO of Intra-NOW- Company.

Based on the current situation in this company, Jonathan is the best leader from whom this leadership role should be directed. Several reasons have facilitated this choice, and they are more based on the leadership profile that has been posted. Based on the assessment following the leadership profile, Jonathan has become the leader of my interest. This is based more on the lie of achievements that Jonathan has made and more so the early preparation for the managerial task during his early stage of life. Following the leadership profile based on Nathans’s case, several experiences are found in his leadership. One is based on his early experience running a company (Theimann, 2016). From the profile posed, one can identify that Nathan had owned a company at 20 years old and simultaneously in the University. His company was founded in South Africa. This is an excellent experience since he started practicing leadership roles very young.

This means that at present, he has several experiences based on management skills that should be provided in the company setting. Based on the idea of being a good leader, it is not easy for one to manage a company and at the same time, he or she is in school. This is one of the most incredible experiences that has made it possible for Nathan to be considered a potential leader in this company. Apart from him being in school, he was, therefore, able to make sure all the management practices that were carried out in his company were correct and carried out correctly. Secondly, Nathan is a very hand working person. This is one of the traits that should be carried out or composed by a good leader. Hardworking from Nathans’s profile comes out clearly when we can see him being able to own his own company when he is 20 years old. This is one of his outstanding achievements, which shows that he is a very hand working person. Therefore if Nathan is given a chance to be the CEO of Intra-NOW-world company, there is a significant probability that he will be a very hand working person, which will help the company grow in the next five years. Also, Nathan is found to be very serious, especially regarding job matters (Dimmock, 2020). This comes out on his profile, from where we can see clearly that he was in a position of not showing up jokes, especially regarding working hours. This does not mean he was not that friendly, but it indicated that he is earnest, especially regarding job matters.

This indicates clearly that when he is given a chance to be the CEO of this company, he and his working mate will also initiate much seriousness. Being severe, especially in the workplace, eliminates some operational issues, such as workers needing to be more active regarding their roles in the company. More so, this will make leaders fond of leading different groups in the company more serious about their roles. This will help the company achieve all its dreams in five years. Another last good leadership trait discovered in Nathans’s profile is that he can be dependent, especially on the company’s work (Algahtani, 2019). This has been indicated on his profile, from where we have seen clearly that he did not depend on the ideas of the individuals outside his company. This is an outstanding trait, especially for the leader, because it helps to avoid the destruction that some people plan. Remember, not all the individuals who are not part of the businesses wish that particular businesses good progress.

This means that if a leader is tempted to ask for any information from the outsi9ders, especially when making a decision based on any given matter, there is a high chance that this particular leader may lose the correct truck for the solution. This has happened because some people may give false information to mislead the company. Lastly, this particular company will end up being closed. Based on this trait, it is reasonable to consider Nathan, the potential leader who will lead the Intra-NOW-world company. He will not be in a position to leak any info ration that is bounded under the company, and this will prevent the company from destructors. In Intra-NOW-Company, there is the fact that most of the employees have the feeling of just walking out of the company and being employed by other companies and, more so, the businesses(Haile, 2016). This is the current feeling that strikes most employees in Intra-NOW-Company. If Nathan is given a chance to be the company’s CEO, this will be the first step he will begin with and ensure that everything is in order. From the work experience he has obtained from his company, he has a rough idea of dealing with some workers who have given up on their roles.

Sometimes, every situation that has changed in the company will be reformed and made proper. Following the idea of Nathan selling his company after its growth and expansion means that he has enough experience on what can be done to open up more paths of success at any given point. This means that if Nathan is given a chance to work in this company, there is a high probability that he will be looking at the possible ways the company will be successful. This will involve the idea that the company is in a position to use and utilize its assets to open up more opportunities for success. Also, as a leader, Nathan has the potential to give out innovations in the company. Innovations are new ways through which any activity found within the company setting can be carried out. One can identify his education based on his educational background (Darling, 2018). This means that he has a sober mind and is more creative about what should be done to change the situation within the organization. This should include all the activities that should be carried out to be in a position to attain success in the work. The idea of Nathan selling his company also portrays his ability to handle some companies’ issues. Selling the company at any given time is not easy but is accompanied by several steps to reach the final stage. This now reflects in his decision-making as the new CEO of Intra-NOW-World Company. This means he has all the skills and steps that should be taken, especially when making decisions based on any issue. Selling his company came out of a big decision made and concluded by himself. This idea shows that Nathan has excellent potential to make various decisions based on any challenges this company faces.

Nathan has some of the areas that he has carried out some of the reforms or has developed. Development can be about himself or his actions to benefit himself and others. First, there will be a discussion of personal development. Following the leadership profile provided based on Nathan, we can see that he is doing some personal development. The first is about education. Apart from Nathan being able to own a company, he is at University studying. Remember, running a company has many benefits, and he may have considered dropping out of school and following the business. On Nathans’s side, this was not the case. He is capable of going to University and running the company at the same time. Passing through the education system maps intellectual development (Walz, 2016). Nathan has wisdom on how various cases can be worked on at any time in the company. Nathan has interacted with more students from different cultural and family backgrounds in school. When we talk of culture, we mean that people with different ways of living air have different ways of living at any given time.

In most cases, this has developed Nathan personally in handling various individuals from different filmy backgrounds. This knowledge is crucial because it drives the CEO on how he or she will handle cases that involve different people in the organization setting. Before Nathan behaves in any direction, he will be aware of what is required in any given culture and how he can behave to avoid being found in the wrong cultural requirements direction. Based on the state development or the development he has made in society and other country places, Nathan owned a company when he was 20. This company served a given role back to the society in South Africa, his home country and more so in other parts of the world. This involves supplying the goods and services produced from his company setting, which allowed him to develop some of the parts of countries. South Africa is a county comprising some towns at any given time. The company Nathan had opened led to the growth of some towns and markets in his home country and, more so, other countries worldwide. This is one of the company’s most essential and crucial activities at any given time (Walumbwa, 2021). Nathan has therefore caused both individual and public development as described, which forms one of the essential pieces of information that clearly shows that he can take the CEO seat from the Intra-NOW-World Company.

Considering the development that is made but Nathan, there will be no room for the probability that the development can hinder the company’s success at any given time. This has been so because some of Nathan’s development maps the tremendous change in everything. For example, considering education as the intellectual development for Nathan, as we have discussed, will make the company develop much more and succeed. This has been so because Nathan is educated and knows what should be done at any given time and, more so, what should not be done. Also, his education will cause success in the company since, as the incoming CEO, he can make the correct decisions based on various issues in the company setting. This is because, throughout his education system, he has fully interacted with many issues and, more so, developed ways to solve them at any given time. Also, running his own company has allowed him to inherit some good business ethics and, more so, the leadership ethics he will apply to ensure success in Intra-NOW-World Company. Therefore, Nathan’s developments will not hinder the success bound of this company but will cause an improvement and several successes, which will finally benefit the company in many ways.

Culture refers to the way of life of individuals at any given time. Considering Intra-NOW-World company, there is the culture or rather some of the way of life that the employees and, more so, the employees have been passing through. This includes more on how they carry out activities at any given time. Also, it includes the form of leadership that the individuals are taking through in the company setting.

Remember, initially, there was a way through which Connor Dayton, the company’s outgoing CEO, used to carry out his duty. This involves all the directives and how he wanted all those activities to be carried out at any given time. The company’s culture at this time was therefore formed based on how the company’s CEO used to run and control all the activities within the company setting. This becomes important and forms the main point of culture in the company setting (Hofstede, 2020). When Nathan, the proposed CEO, whom we believe has the potential to take the leadership of the company, gives out his directives on how the company will be operating at any given time, there will be some differences that will infer example, making people comply to his way of the ruling will be one of the cultural issues. Remember, being on duty will entail changing everything or all activities being carried out in the organization setting and bringing in new activities that should be carried out at any given time. This idea will therefore make him suffer most in a cultural way. Changing an individual’s lifestyle in the company is very tricky. This information indicates that he will face several cultural issues, especially when he takes over the leadership. Therefore, his central gender in the workplace will be seeking how he can maintain the cultural requirements of the individuals at any given time.

Based on the incident, some recommendations will greatly benefit Nathans’s leadership as the CEO of Intra-NOW-World Company. One of the primary recommendations is that Nathan considers carrying out various reforms or themes of change in the company setting. Based on the initial leadership, some changes were made in the organizational setting. This means that Nathan should consider improving these changes and bring up the idea of creating more changes to benefit the company.

Being in an institution is a great prevailed and has some of the things I have studied personally. This means clearly that there are some activities that I need to take part in to apply the knowledge that has been acquired in the class setting to reality. In the six months’ time after graduation, there will be several activities that I will engage myself in to make sure that all the activities that require to be carried out at any given time are worked on. This is based on the idea of leadership (Adair, 2017). Remember, my primary role is to become a CEO or manager of any given business. This means that there are some practices I should go through in the first six months after graduation, which will boost my leadership skills to attain my desired role. One of the essential activities I will engage in is seeking any job that will include me as a leader in any given business setting. This idea will help, especially in how I interact with individuals in the workplace. Also, this will be of significant impact because business ethics will be acquired. In this case, business ethics involves the behaviour codes that one should reflect in the workplace.

Being a part of business worker in my first six years after graduation will sharpen my codes of behaviours based on the business setting. Also, there is the idea of acquiring leadership ethics in business. This involves the correct behaviours that should be reflected by the leaders at any given time in their places of work.

Currently, I am working as a secretary at one of the companies. Based on what I have desired, there is room for improvement since my primary role or what I am part of, is becoming a CEO in any given company. This leadership role requires most of the leadership skills that should be incorporated at any given time (Elmuti, 2015). Working with a company has brought about some positive impacts on what am desiring to get. For example, being a secretary has enabled me to interact with most of the CEOs in the company. Every time, I am fond of asking them some of the questions bound to their primary roles as the company’s CEO. There is, therefore, the outline of various roles that the CEO should play in the company setting, which makes me gain the skills required for my future role. Also, there is the acquisition of knowledge on how some activities should be carried out and how decisions should be made in the company setting. This prepares me for the future role. Decision-making is one of the critical roles of the CEO in any given company. Remember, several issues do happen in any given business setting.

This implies that, for one to be the CEO of any given company, one must be able to make decisions based on any given issues witnessed in the company setting. A good decision-making process must be incorporated into the company set for the company to get in the desired direction. This involves bringing to the table all the possibilities of any solution based on the subject matter. As part of my working experience, I have a role to include experience on how I will be making decisions in the business setting. This has positively impacted the role I am inspired to have as the company’s CEO (Mumford, 2017). Being a CEO means that one can make all the decisions arising from the issues or matters experienced in the company setting. Also, to perfect my profession, I will be trained on how leaders should make decisions in the company setting. Apart from obtaining knowledge from the acting CEO in various companies, I will therefore consider training much on the decision-making process. This is important since there will be awareness of how most decisions should be made at any given time.

In most cases, the CEO has difficulties, especially when deciding on various issues. Based on this idea, I will therefore be able to know much about who can be consulted for further information regarding such situations. This will help much to prepare for my future role.

Throughout this course, there have been some lectures that covered various ways through which leaders can acquire some leadership skills at any given time. Training is one of the most common and essential routes (Mahoney, 2021). This implies that I have to go through several training on how to lead people in my first six months after graduating in order for me to attain the desired leadership skills and attain the future role of being a CEO in any given company. Leadership roles are one of the essential elements of leaders which should be highly considered since it acts as the main control centre of all the activities that should be carried out in the leadership system.
