Abstract 

Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder is a disorder related to the neurodevelopment of a patient and is characterized by impulsivity, hyperactivity and inattention of a patient. It is one of the most common disorders that affects an individual’s nervous system and affects the transmission and relaying of messages to and from the brain. Identifying the condition at a young age is essential to help the patient manage and cope with the environment. Early signs of ADHD could include developmental delays. The symptoms of ADHD manifest themselves differently, from hyperactivity in childhood that diminishes into adulthood (Barkley, 2008). The treatment plan involves undertaking therapy, which helps manage the situation, taking drugs such as Vyvanse, checking on the meals the patient consumes, and ensuring that the patient regularly exercises and gets enough sleep.

Conclusion

ADHD is a neurodevelopment disorder that has gained more attention in recent years courtesy of awareness and education about the disorder. Parents and guardians have been encouraged to seek advice and counseling on how to handle patients with ADHD, as it requires a certain level of awareness.
