Holocaust
It is a genocide where the Nazis murdered almost six million European Jews during the second world war. The leading cause of the Holocaust was that the Nazis wanted to exterminate the Jews, which they managed to do. When Germany lost in the first world war, the Jews were blamed and accused of being capitalist exploiters who gained at the expense of other people (Lumape et al., 2023). Adolf Hitler secretly revealed his hatred for the Jews and believed there was no place for them in Germany. Competition from different departments in the government contributed to more radical measures against the Jews. Hitler’s wishes to have the Jews killed had to be fulfilled since nothing went against them, and his decisions were final. Many Jews fled Germany because of violence and discrimination during World War II.
Anne Frank
Anne Frank was a Jewish teenager who wrote a diary about her family and life while hiding from the Germans in the Netherlands during World War II. In 1947, her book was published after his father was urged to do so. Anne Frank died in a concentration camp in 1945. Anne’s family had moved to settle in the Netherlands because Adolf Hitler had risen significantly to power, and the Jews suffered. The Netherlands was invaded in 1940 by Germans, who took over and started enacting anti-Jewish rules. Anne received a diary as a present for her 13th birthday and began writing how the events unfolded to her in their hiding place in the Netherlands (Lumape et al., 2023)
Anne Frank wrote because the diary was her great source of support and comfort. Anne’s family hid in 1942 when Margot got an order to go to the labor camps. Her family did not comply. Instead, they went into hiding in a secret annex. For the two years they were in the secret annex, Anne addressed various entries to her diary, which was addressed as a dear kitty. She compiled day-to-day activities in the annex, such as arguments among inhabitants for the sparse supplies, adolescent issues, and sexual awareness, and highlighted that she wanted to become a journalist or a writer in the future (Lumape et al., 2023). She wrote her last journal entry in 1944, and after three days, their secret annex was identified. The inhabitants were taken into custody. Anne and Margot were taken to Bergen-Belsen. In 1945, Anne, Margot, and their mother died. Anne’s father, the only survivor in the secret annex, compiled Anne’s diary and journals for publication.
Adolf Hitler
He is known as the Nazi dictator and a despised figure in history. Hitler pioneered the second world war because he rose to power in the 1920s as a leader of the Nazi party. He is known for his anti-sematic policies that led to the Holocaust. When Germany was defeated, Hitler took over political work in Munich to improve the party’s propaganda. His ambition and propaganda caused chaos in the party as other leaders did not buy his ideas. He was threatened with resignation, and in 1921he became the leader of the Nazis with unlimited powers.
The climax of the rapid growth of the Nazi party was when they attempted to seize power in Munich when Hitler tried to take advantage of the prevailing opposition and confusion. Hitler believed in ideas such as inequality among races, a reason why he advocated for the Aryan race (Li Feng, 2020). He described the Jews as destroyers of culture, parasites, and menace. He wrote a book called Men Kampf while in prison, and the world branded it as the most dangerous book. He represented his racist ideology in the book and claimed to be a fan of his anti-Semitic beliefs when he was in Vienna. He died in 1945 by committing suicide (Li Feng, 2020).
Significant law enforces
The legal system in Germany increased the deprivation of rights among the Jews and, eventually, the Holocaust. Even children were not spared; the legal body gave into many cases that promoted Nazi powers and injustices ((Li Feng, 2020). Hitler’s absolute power was achieved purportedly under the law. Hitler misused his position as a leader to amass power to himself. The police freely arrested and incarnated anyone without reason, suppressed organizations, and dissolved pollical organizations. The central government had all the powers to overrule the local and state governments and overthrow them.
An enabling act formed the cornerstone of Hitler in 1933 because it gave him powers to enact laws, even those that conflicted with the Constitution. The laws formed increasingly marginalized the Jewish community as the government increased its powers. When restoration and professional civil service law were passed, the Jews in the civil service were excluded (Li Feng, 2020). Every year, the laws enacted suppressed the Jewish people making their living in Germany unbearable. The Nazis developed laws that depended on the framework of traditional rule.
