Abstract
The United States immigration system is a complex and often contentious issue. Many stakeholders have varying perspectives on how the system should work. In general, however, the main goal of the immigration system is to protect national security while also providing an opportunity for those seeking a better life. Since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the United States has made significant changes to its immigration system in the name of national security. Immigrant rights advocates have widely criticized these changes as discriminatory and unfair. The purpose of this research paper is to evaluate the current state of the US immigration system and to identify areas in need of improvement.
The paper will begin with a brief overview of the history of US immigration policy. It will then examine the current system, including the process for obtaining a visa, the requirements for naturalization, and recent changes such as the travel ban and increased border security. Finally, the paper will consider whether or not the current system is effective and identify ways in which it could be improved. This paper will also examine the history of US immigration policy, focusing on the changes that have occurred since 9/11. It will discuss how people can enter the country legally, including family sponsorship, employer sponsorship, refugee resettlement, and asylum seekers. Sources for this paper will include academic books and articles, government documents, news reports, and first-hand accounts from immigrants. By providing a comprehensive overview of the US immigration system, this paper will contribute to understanding one of the most controversial and complex issues facing America today.

This article will be valuable for anyone interested in understanding the current state of US immigration policy and its potential future direction.

Overall, I am pleased with how this source addresses my paper’s topic. The source provides a comprehensive overview of the history and future of immigration policy in the United States. Additionally, the source is well-written and supported by credible sources. However, there are a few areas where I think the source could be improved. First, I would like to see more discussion of the impact of immigration on American society. Second, I would like to see more discussion of the economic impact of immigration.
